Wonderful location, compact and comfortable room, stylish decor with playful use of materials. Staff who we met were great, good breakfast and coffees. Visiting in October, the misty cool river in the morning was very atmospheric ahead of the hot sunny day to come.

We used the VVF house as a welcome 2 night stop on the Stevenson track. The house sleeps 6 persons and was thus very spaceous for us two. Bathroom and kitchen were very good. The VVF personnel excels in kindness and helpfulness.

This is a lovely gite with views out over the countryside, it is remote so either come prepared with the food you need or leave time to go out to shop (at least one of the stores closes at 7pm). We found the whole family to be helpful, Remi speaks English which was a great help to us as our French isn't very good, they also had a book in both French and English of places to go and things to do. The pages on where to find swimming holes along the rivers was fantastic - we went to 5 of them. Even though a bit chilly, my granddaughter had a blast swimming and jumping from the rocks and exploring the waterfalls. We would definitely stay again.
