We had a wonderful stay at Le Moulin de Belle Isle.
Christine and Eric were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home.
The beds were super comfy and the room facilities were good.
Breakfast in the main salon (heated by a huge wood burning stove) was delicious and included home made yogurt and an assortment of breads and pastries.
We ate at Le Relais restaurant in the village ( kindly booked for us by Christine prior to our arrival)
The food was very good but we found the portions rather generous!
The restaurant is approximately 10 minutes walk from Le Moulin, as is the village of Bèze with other places to eat.
We would definitely recommend Le Moulin de Belle-Isle to other travellers.

The host was very friendly, helpful, welcoming and speaks English. There was a dry place to store our bikes which is needed as it’s rained pretty much every night for a month! The only place available for dinner was a pizza place a 500 metre walk through town and it was actually very good. If you have a car you can reach other places and the host can prepare you a meal but we hadn’t booked that ahead. It’s a quirky place where the shower is in the bedroom but the toilet is in a separate room within the bedroom.

This property was very quirky and in a state of renovation however the host had made sure that the cleanliness and organisation of the room was first rate and the unique aspect of the building and its mill stream made it very memorable.
Offering a variety of animal-adapted amenities, these properties provide a pet-friendly stay. Services may include sitting services, specialized bedding and dog walking. Some hotels even offer quirky perks like a gourmet room service menu for pets, as well as catnip and scratch poles.
Hotel is in a beautiful location and we had a large, comfortable room. I really enjoyed listening to the birds while there. The pretty town of Bèze was a pleasant walk from the Inn. The host made dinner reservations for us, since we were there on a Sunday night, and only one restaurant was open. That service was really appreciated. The restaurant was excellent, we had memorable Niçoise salads. I would like to return and stay longer, the hotel is comfortable and the villages nearby are very picturesque, and worthy of further exploration.
An excellent place to stay .Staff so friendly. The bed so comfortable
Set in a wonderful location.
Restaurant food was excellent.
A very comfortable hotel to stay .
It was nice and quiet just outside the village. (A few years ago we stayed at a hotel in the village which was a bad idea, tractors were going through the town in the middle of the night back then and even this year). BUT this hotel was perfect, we didn’t hear any traffic from the road and all we could hear was the gentle stream of water down below from the river.
The hosts was very friendly and kind and helped us with good tips for walking with our dog which you can bring!
Quintessential French village. Centrally located traditional hotel, nice area in village square where food served. Staff were great, secure area to store bicycle too. Bedroom and en suite modern and bed very comfortable with crisp white linen.
Very comfortable hotel in a very quiet location. Good (optional) breakfast on-site. Walking distance from nearby restaurants for lunch/dinner. Nice short walks to explore the neighborhood start and end at the hotel. Perfect location to break up the long drive from Netherlands to Southern France.
Great location for an overnight stop on the way south as it's not far from the motorway. Staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely meal in their restaurant and the dog was welcomed everywhere. Parking available close by. I would highly recommend a stop here - the village is also worth exploring for its history and its connection with wine production.
