A normal Finnish hotel breakfast, which becomes ordinary on the third morning, but is delightfully varied on the first two mornings. Fresh bread, fresh vegetables, fresh coffee. The lakeside location was very pleasant, and I was surprised how near to the town centre it was, although officially just short of a kilometre. If you are relying on public transport and have minimal luggage you won't need a taxi, but I took one just to be sure; I hadn't visited Valkeakoski for many years. The staff were friendly, spoke English with ease, and willingly answered all my questions.

The villa exceeded our expectations in every way. Sebastian is a wonderful host, very responsive and supportive. The location was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and a serene, private access to lake and proximity to nearby supermarkets and restaurants.The villa itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor spaces, including the terrace and sauna, were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful environment. The property also provided plenty of privacy, making it ideal for families and retreat group.

Idillic location with beautiful peaceful lake view. Nicely designed contemporary cabin. Our son loved the upper floor sleeping platform. Well equipped kitchenette but note there isn’t an oven. Had a shower within the cabin. Hosts were very friendly and kind, they also let us use their paddle boards. Only 2 rented cabins so very quiet, great place to unwind and chill. Loved it, thank you!
Very comfortable top-floor flat, recently re-done, nicely furnished and fully equipped. Easy to find and for our purposes ideally located, surrounded by forest, close to a lake, with pleasant walks. Parking outside the front door and a grocery store across the road. All in all, outstanding value for money.
Hotel was extremely comfortable, located in a beautiful and peaceful area. The view of the lake from the room was wonderful! We came here especially for the Käärijä concert, the staff was so nice and helpful when we asked if we can keep a concert poster from the hotel doors, kiitos! :)) You really made us happy. I also really liked the fact that we could check in much earlier, highly appreciated . I hope to come back here for a longer time someday to enjoy this beautiful place
This place was a joy to stay in, the staff were brilliant and coped very well with a load of international Käärijä fans turning up for his gig there. Lovely location with beautiful scenic walks. The room had a balcony with perfect views of the stage, the staff had been trying to give Käärijä fans rooms with views of the stage which was very thoughtful.
I especially loved the location. It was amazing to wake up to a view across the lake. Delicious breakfast-buffet with many options to choose from.
Plus the festival including fireworks had been a great event.
We stayed in a hotel for one night and loved it.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was pleasantly large and had a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel itself was very quiet and peaceful and the breakfast was delicious. You can walk around the lake and there is fantastic nature and beautiful views.
The location is good, the shop is close by and there is plenty of spaces for parking.
Would definitely visit this hotel again.
