The location is in a tranquil nubian village on the west side of the Nile. If you're with the car, you easily exit on a highway towards the Aswan Dam of Abu Simbel. The courtyard is a traditional one, the room was big, clean and with a good wi-fi. The host was careful and the surroundings looked safe. We also parked the car at the gate front and it was ok. The breakfast was tasteful and we served it outside in the courtyard. On the evenings, the lights from the courtyard make a warm and nice atmosphere. A good value for money!

The Mango guest house is a colourful gem in Assouan.
Our room was clean and spacious.
We arrived late but Ali (I think that was his name) was waiting for us at the ferry and carried our bags to the guest house.
The omelette at breakfast was great.
Unfortunately we stayed only one night !

Loved our stay at Kendaka. We also organised transport and tours which were very good.
The owner made you feel very welcome and genuinely like family. The food was excellent. Pictures of the rooms, don't do them justice. The beds are comfy, good size and excellent Aircon.
Fantastic location as just a 1 minute walk from the heart of the Nubian Village.
We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic, comfortable stay with excellent food.

This place is incredible! Echo what has been said before, it will be a slice of calm in the chaos of Egypt. The hosts are so welcoming and it’s just brilliant. The village is so loving and we had the best time. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Bassam was a great host, no pressure or hassle like so common in Egypt; booked several tours for us at a fair price. The upstairs terrace was lovely, even though it was hot.

Quiet stay on the west bank of Aswan in a colourful Nubian village. Tamir, the owner, was incredibly helpful. He organised daily trips for a very reasonable price, and we had delicious, huge dinners on the rooftop for 200EGP. The rooms are small but comfortable, with aircon that works well. The pickup from the airport was smooth and also inexpensive. The accomodation is a 7 minute walk from the ferry to the center of Aswan. We really enjoyed staying on this side as it was much more quiet, had a more local feel, and was safe and friendly. There isn't a lot of amenities in the area but everything you need (food, transport, activities) can be organised from Nuba Heart. The rooftop was lovely to watch the sunset from. The wifi worked well and it was very quaint. Stay and support the incredibly lovely and helpful people here.

Absolutely loved our stay at artika Wadi Kiki! They upgraded our room on arrival as the place was quite quiet to the most beautiful room with doors opening directly onto the nile, and a huge circular window you could see from the bed also looking out onto the nile. Everything was clean and beautiful, Mohammed looked after us our entire stay, picking us up from the train station, setting up a coffee tasting under the stars, and arranging a solo boat trip down the nile at sunset.
The food was delicious. I'm vegetarian and Mahmoud arranged a selection of vegetable tagine for me every night we ate there, and my partner said all the meat and fish was great. Everything came with bread and salad and tahini. Breakfast was included and was a huge spread of food served in the gorgeous riverside restaurant. Couldn't recommend enough.
