The staff is really friendly: they do remind me on a couple of grandparents who want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. After traveling 3 weeks through Ecuador this place has by far the nicest rooms we have seen. They are spacious, new and very nice decorated providing all facilities you need.
The owner of the hotel provided dinner in the evening which was really good at a very fair price. Communication was a bit hard because they don't speak English very well, but the owners are very open and willing to help.

This is a must visit if you are doing the Quilatoa or just passing through. I personally recommend staying at least two nights here as it’s that amazing.
The food is comforting. The staff is amazing and the tranquility is unmatched.
This truly is one of the highlights of doing the hike, so don’t be in a rush to leave.

Beautiful old hacienda. Nice walk with horses and great views above the hacienda. We experienced problems with our credit cards at the time of payment. The lady at the reception proved very friendly, patient and helpful.

John was a great host. Whether it was laundry, grocery shopping or the hike the next day, he helped me with everything. The atmosphere is very familiar and warm. I had a great stay and a really fun evening, which may also have been due to the homemade liquor that John had unpacked later in the evening.

Great location adjacent to the lake. Clean rooms, hot shower that's not too difficult to adjust properly, lots of blankets against the cold. The staff were extremely helpful, letting be shower after my checkout when I returned from hiking the lake. Breakfast was really nice and great value.
The location of the hostel is great, right across from the viewpoint of the lake. Rooms are basic but comfortable, the wood stove is great (and necessary, because it gets cold at night!). We had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the simple, home-cooked food. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and helped us to organize a taxi to Latacunga for a decent price.
Wood stove in the room was just amazing, we hadn't had such warm nights in the Sierra until now. Meals included are good but a bit repetitive. The owner is nice and tries to accomodate guest 's needs as well as she cans. The location is good, very close to the lagoon and bus stop. Everything within walking distance.
