The staff are really wonderful. The rooms are large and the beds and pillows super comfortable (we all know how rare that is). The shower and hot water was the best shower I'd had in weeks.

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.

good location. amazing courtyard with a pool table and table tennis. we homeschool our kids whilst travelling so this was perfect for a bit of downtime, plus they had free cake :)
We stayed here for one night prior to embarking on the 3 day Quilatoa loop hike. The owner/manager, Santiago, was extremely friendly and helpful. Santiago advised what buses we could catch, allowed us to store our big backpacks with him for three days while we were on the hike and generally just had a welcoming smile. We had a double bedroom with ensuite to ourselves and breakfast in the morning and it was extremely good value. I’d highly recommend staying here when in Latacunga 😊
Juan Carlos was very helpful and the location was pretty good- not too far from the bus terminal and the historic center and in a safe cal-du-sac. Cool building and the roof access was nice!
