The receptionist was super friendly and helped us arrange for a taxi for the next morning. Also recommended places to eat. We chose the hotel because of the location and price.
This place was a pleasant surprise for us. It's more off the beaten path and charming in all sense. The family who owns the biological station is taking good care of the premises and the guests. There are plenty of programs (natural walks etc) you can choose from and they offer full catering as well.
Pedro the host was super kind and communication was fluent even before the arrival. He helped with the overall organization of the trip and gave me great tips. The place is well located and super functional for and overnight stay before heading to Tortuguero. Good value for money (for Costa Rica standards). Food at the on-site restaurant is excellent.
Location: perfect for a night stay before reaching La Pavona to go to Tortuguero.
The staff were very helpful. They also booked a Collectivo for us to pick us up to La Pavona to catch the boat to Tortuguero.
Ambience of the area is amazing, with greenary around the cabins and you can also find frogs around outside.
