The apartment is extremely spacious, very clean and tidy. Amenities are great and in good condition. The two bathrooms, washing machine, and the full equipped kitchen are perfect for us. The apartment comes with 2 parking spaces in the basement of the building which is very convenient. We are a group of 4 adults stayed for 2 nights, the experience was quite perfect. The neighborhood is quiet nad peaceful, but right next to the main road although it does not feel noisy. There is a beautiful small island Werd which is just about 10 min walk away which is great for a short walk. The beautiful town of Stein am Rhein is about 10 min drive away.

Kartause Ittingen is a truly special place.
The old monastery site has a cluster of beautiful buildings, lovely grounds and is perched high on the valley side such that there are fantastic views all day long. I walked up the steep hillside vineyards one morning and it was magical.
The breakfast and evening meals were healthy, with lots of variety and high quality.
The room was minimalistic, with clean lines, gorgeous furnishings and beautiful materials (lots of natural wood).
Also loved that they had a book on steps to reduce your environmental footprint in each room. Hats off, Kartause Ittingen!

The traditional and rather quiet property gave us an amazing stay in Switzerland. The breakfast was of very high quality, the staff was very friendly and open to requests like checking in earlier than planned and showed us around the facilities. Great location for a family (nice, large playground and public swimming nearby, short scenic walk to downtown area). House was very spacious for 3 adults and 1 child with all necessary amenities to feel at home (full kitchen, children's toys, washer, books, garden). Hosts were very friendly and attentive to all needs. Despite being on a main road, the house was quiet inside. Everything was clean and well-kept. Stayed for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. Would gladly stay again if in the area.
