At the time of booking I was assured that there was a safe in the room. Unfortunately this was not the case. When I mentioned this to reception they were very apologetic and readily offered free breakfasts as compensation for the incorrect information. This is a positive in terms of customer care.

We really liked the room per se: spacious, well decorated, nice modern bathroom. The staff was very nice and the overall position was okay (bas ville so it is in the lower part of the city whereas restaurants are in the upper part) and quite quiet.
The bas ville is easily accessible by bus or funiculaire (we also walked which is nicer going down)

Although English wasn't the staff's strength, they tried to speak it and were really nice and thoughtful throughout our stay. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was really good. The bedroom was way bigger and nicer then we thought from watching the photos. Also the view from the hotel is something to behold!

location was perfect for us as we have friends who live in Marly near Fribourg.
We travelled as a group. 4 adults. Two double room and one suite. The double rooms have been modernised and are fairly spacious. The suite is outdated and mattress was too soft, bed seemed a little too small. At this price we already knew not to expect 5 star treatment but it’s functional and clean. Simple continental breakfast. no hot food, but ok. On-site parking is good.
The hotel is in Marly-Fribourg. It was very easy to catch the local bus about 5 minutes into the centre of Fribourg. The hotel gave us coupons for the bus. The hotel staff were very helpful. There is an Italian restaurant next door which is excellent. We enjoyed our 3 days there. Great scenery and delicious food in and out of the town. I am Coeliac and the hotel catered for my breakfast without me having to worry about gluten.
