This family owned hotel is very charming. We decided to stay here because of its location next to the 7 lakes hike. It met our expectations for the conviennent location but also surprised us with an amazing customer service, a rich and tasty breakfast and restaurant for the evening. The price is really low for all the amnesties included ( jacuzzi and spa). There is also plenty of space for parking which is convenient. Overall, I’m really happy with my experience at villa ema and will come back for sure.
Location in the woods is amazing 🌳🌲 it’s a quiet place with only forest and a few other hotels around. Close to Rila lakes. No light noise, no cars. 2 super friendly dogs in the yard are waiting to be petted 🥹 breakfast is superb!

The food was amazing and reasonably priced (try the garlic bread, you won’t regret it!). The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The housekeeping service was wonderful! Great location to the ski lifts to do the hike but do note if you don’t drive it’s approx an hour walk there. There are also some stray dogs who stay around the property who are super sweet and cute :)
I’ve always heard nice things for this place and in fact the location in very nice. Easy track we’ve headed with our small dog and our 2 years daughter. The food was good but you need to catch the hosts somewhere over the place to order.
Boris went out of his way to make us feel at home. We struggled to find the hut v late on Saturday night (flight delayed) so arrived on Sunday and he was very accommodating. Great company and made us delicious meals. Raf the dog is also very cuddling and there’s cats about too, though we didn’t get to meet them. Lovna has great character and we’d highly recommend.
It was lovely. Alone in the mountains only with the company of Boris and a dog. Peaceful and interesting. Especially the communication with Boris. I can only recommend it. Great place to start hiking for the 7 lakes.
What an adventure! We loved staying at Lovna hut. Be prepared to hike for 40 mins from the Rila Chairlift carpark. It was worth it, once you are there you are in the most peaceful clearing in the woods. Boris was a great host, even though there was a language barrier he made sure we were comfortable and fed. Bonus was having a friendly dog and cat at the hut too!
