The cottage was cozy and inviting. Very comfy lounge area and well set up. Adorable bedrooms, and lovely products in the bathroom. Excellent heating and great space for three adults. A lovely little breakfast was provided and there was a cute pack of treats for our dog. The whole stay was perfect and we all felt welcomed. The completely secure front and back area was perfect for our little chihuahua to feel happy and safe. The location is excellent. Dee is an amazing host.

Ulva Cottage was absolutely charming and a delightful place to stay in Penola. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities of the cottage and it was very cosy and warm! We loved that it was dog friendly.

It was very novel staying in an old historical cottage but brought up to a reasonable modern standard. Location was excellent in the centre of town and walking distance to everything. The property was made comfortable by a good bed and furniture. The little extra touches with kitchen supplies and dog treats were a nice surprise.

This is our second stay and we love it. well appointed, with everything you need. Great location, in walking distance to Hotels and shops. Clean and comfortable. Will be booking again for the Coonawarra Petanque Tournament next year

Our room was very spacious and the King size bed was really comfortable. The location is excellent if you want to walk to the Main Street, the nearby Foodland and the Mary McKillop centre and Petticoat Lane. We ate at the Royal Oak and Pipers of Penola (both within easy walking distance). Even though it is on the main road it was quiet. Having the supplies for breakfast in our room was a bonus as well.

Great, quiet location within short walking distance to restaurants, shops, tourist attractions. Spacious outdoor area with lovely gardens, on-site undercover car park, and a very friendly dog. Comfortable, clean, with everything you could want to ensure an enjoyable stay.

Great Location to the main street of Penola. We were dining at the nearby restaurant and it was walking distance. Also walking distance to Petticoat Lane which is worth a visit The room was large as was the bathroom. The shower had brilliant pressure and the vanity was the length of the room so there was plenty of space to use hairdryers etc while partner was also using the bathroom. Parking available at front door. Fantastic value for money.

Great location! Easy walk to Petticoat and Mary McKillop. Very cosy and well stocked! Bacon and eggs provided to cook on outside stove…host took pans etc and cleaned up after, so no smell in flat. Ground level in host’s backyard, retro style but everything easy and comfortable. Highly recommended!
