Good price, parking in front of the hotel, good small breakfast....

Clean.
I lost a key card and there was no fee.
Good for cycling.
Spacious parking space.
Great region.
Friendly staff.
Very cosy place !
I arrived late so they left the keys at the entrance with some really nice notes on paper - I felt immediately like home.
In the morning I left early but I got a coffee and some cookies even the restaurant was not yet open.
This is what I call the highest level of customer care!
Not a luxury hotel but I felt more valued than in any fancy hotel I was guest.
It’s a place where I would go back!

The place was well located and the breakfast amazing. Staff was pretty nice too.
The room was big.

Great location. Good onsite parking. Great staff. Very spacious room with a good view of the street and abbey. Very good restaurant and also a very good breakfast included.
From the minute we arrived we felt so welcome. What a wonderful hotel. Family run and in a great central location in the the stunning town of Melk. incredible Views to the Palace. We hired electric bikes the first day (10€ for half a day) gorgeous 50km cycle up to Spitz and back (lots of places to stop for wine and beer!) Next day went to a family wedding in Wasserkirken by BOAT! we asked SO many question at reception and they were consistently helpful. The food is delicious too, so many homemade delicacies. We cant wait to go back!
The location of this hotel was a bit disappointing. At least a 15 minutes walk along a busy road. The hotel was comfortable but lack a personal touch. Breakfast was good but when we asked for hot food we were told only eggs were available and on our second day realised we could have had a different hot food choice. Found this very strange and staff on our first morning were quite unhelpful. An ok stay!!
Staff were friendly. The location was excellent and the room was warm, cosy, comfortable and clean. I travelled with my dog and the hotel and cafe has a very dog friendly attitude. The breakfast buffet was well stocked.
Old-fashioned little hotel on a good place and with great staff. We had a big room with wonderful view on Melk Monastery. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned up. The great thing (for us) is that they accommodate pets, so we could come with our dog. :-) The breakfast is served in a different place nearby, but it is rich and tasty.
Really central and the food in the restaurant was great and catered for vegans. Room was large and clean was able to bring our elderly small dog. Best place to sit in the sun in the afternoon with a drink in Melk!
Beautiful location, in the pedestrian area opposite the town hall, in a historic building. Clean, parking and breakfast included, pet friendly with a fee of 8 euros/day.
Location was perfect in the centre of Melk. Peter and Alexandra could not have been more helpful and accomodating. The apartments were very clean, spacious and had more than eveything we needed.
Check in and out was well organised and convenient. Melk is a delightful old town and we would love to revisit and would stay at Golden Star without hesitation.
Thank you Peter for all your kindness.
