A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Featuring full-day security, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant and a sun terrace. The campground also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Beautiful desert camp in the middle of the Wahiba desert. We booked 3 tents for our group of 6 people and all the tents are spacious with comfy beds, A/C, and bathroom. The hotel is right next to the huge sand dunes and you can easily climb up the dunes at sunrise or sunset without the need of booking their 4x4 jeep tours as the "jeep" won't go very far anyway. The view from the top of the sand dunes is beautiful and peaceful. The dinner and breakfast were also great. We ate camel meat for the first time here. Note that they will charge you extra for drinks at dinner.

Buffet and continental breakfast options with fruits and cheese are available each morning at the campground. We had an amazing stay, Staff is super welcoming, friendly and professional. The tent are super clean and comfy, bathroom is equipped with everything necessary. Super recommended

Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. I had this place and a couple others camps down to the wire, on which place I should stay at, in the end I chose this place. Once experiencing it I was happy with my decision. You get a more private experience at this place compared to others as there are are less tents and people, this goes a long way and you won't see this in the description or know this until you are there. Rashid goes out of his way to make your stay very enjoyable, like a true Omani. The other bonus that this place has over others is that its at the top of some of the highest dunes you can stay at; which is good because their is less dune climbing for you. PLUS driving up to the tents is so much fun in the rental (its not hard, just keep your momentum). Dune bashing was amazing and same with the camel ride. Thanks again Rashid.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Said was extremely friendly and helpful. I changed my plan during the stay and he helped me get yo the bus station to go to Muscat. Camp was in a great location. Highly recommend!

Sultan Private Desert Camp is situated in Bidiyah. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Everything! First of all we were completely alone in the middle of the beautiful omani desert: a unique experience! We loved the authenticity of the structure and of its owner, Humied (and the camels of course, the real bosses there). He is a very entertaining host: we ate together both at dinner and breakfast and we had the opportunity to talk a lot about Oman and its culture and traditions. The tent, the linens, the private external toilet were all very clean! PS: Unexpectedly, there was some sand in the tent, next time please provide us with a broom Humied 😉just joking of course 😜

Set in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Sunrise Desert Local Private Camp features a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. The camp was just right. Comfy tents and beds (on platforms), good food. Most importantly, it was quiet: far enough from other camps and city, only four tents in camp I think. So the desert night was quiet and perfect for star-gazing. This alone deserves their high reviews. But on top of that, Mr. Ali and his staff saved me with car trouble. Somehow, I lost my rental car keys... They helped me look everywhere. I was kicking myself and preparing myself for a delay of one or two days. But Mr. Ali located a car mechanic, and the mechanic made a new key (!) for a very reasonable price. I was back on the road in 90 minutes.

Located in Shāhiq in the Al Sharqiyah region, Crescent Desert Private Camp provides accommodation with free private parking. This luxury tent offers a terrace. Outdoor dining is also possible at the luxury tent. The camp is on top of a sand dune and has amazing views. You can even enjoy the view on a swing. Very comfortable beds!

It was a beautiful experience at Orchid Guest house, friendly staff, Lovely Owner and amazing vibe and energy. Highly recommended especially for guests that have furry friends with them. will be visiting soon definitely :)
