The self-catering units are located on the ground floor with parking directly outside the front door. Each unit has a flat-screen satellite TV and a verandah with outdoor seating. Great location right above the city center, all the restaurants are within walking distance and even one of the wineries (the Maude winery) was right behind the corner, so we paid it a visit. The lady at the reception was very friendly and overall super helpful. The room was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the A/C was a great addition (apparently you can’t find it in every hotel in NZ). We only stayed for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer vacation. It it also very calm and I can imaging that it’s quite kids friendly.
