We took the Aurlandfjord cruise and make decision to stay at flam for a night. I believe I made the right decision to select Flam Marina as the terrace view is face right to the front of the Fjord. We have the pleasant stay before moving to Flambana train line on the next day.

Everything was basically new in the room. The view was gorgeous, it was clean, and we loved our stay here. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

It has a very relaxed and chill vibe, and Hans, the host, has plenty of recommendations for hikes, activities, etc. and makes sure everyone is comfortable.

Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. We were welcomed by the very friendly manager who showed us the place and our rooms, Very charming and historical old, yet refurbished, farmhouse overlooking the village and valley. We had access to a huge kitchen with everything needed to store food and prepare meals. If you cant be bothered to make your own meals its less than 5 minutes walk down to the Skjolden Hotel which has an amazing restaurant. Would absolutely recommend Eide Gaard.

This was our favorite place we stayed at while traveling through Norway. The hotel was incredibly quaint and unique. The breakfast was excellent, various choices, and great quality. The common areas were beautiful and very comfortable, they are a great place to rest and get drinks. The decoration of the whole place was very welcoming. The staff is lovely and do everything they can to make you feel at home. The town itself is small and barely even a town, but there are great hikes and waterfalls close by. It is a great stopping point to relax after driving through the country. Everything is exceptionally clean which is the main thing I look for when booking a place. This is a hidden gem for sure and I’m so glad we found it!

Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!
