We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

The staff at the villa were incredibly hospitable and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and even helped organize excursions and transportation. Their local knowledge and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the experience. In summary, Sea View Villa exceeded all my expectations. So in short -location next to the great beach hidden in a forest -small hotel, only 4 bungalows -beds very comfortable -very nice restaurant with possibilities to eat on the beach -all meals just great, menu changes every day You can keep on listing, though I would say the biggest value of this place is it’s owner Barbara who keeps close eye on everything in the hotel, keeping all in order and is very helpful in assisting and negotiating decent prices for transportation, tours and even tuk tuks… knowledge of local market can’t be overrated in this area…
