This homestay is unique in many forms: the owner Steven contacted me a few days before my arrival to answer all my questions, which was a solo female traveller very helpful. He organised me a taxi and boat from Manado to come to Bunaken and back. Through this i could catch directly my flight. Steven and Misi were always helping me with any situation coming up and I had the feeling I could always ask them anything (i had a difficult situation in the middle). The prices were always transparent and fair. They also helped me to find a very good diving school and helped me planning my snorkeling trips (they have a lot of contacts). Both are very kind, warm and open. They even invited me to celebrate New Years Eve with them and their friends. On my last night we had a small farewell party to which Steven invited some friends over to play music! The room is very clean and comfortable. In the whole house I always had perfect and fast Wifi (didn't expect it on an Island:)). The room had a fan and as an add-on AC. The food is cooked fresh, delicious and a lot. Dietary requests are taken serious (as for me i dont like fish and love Tempeh :)). I also rented a Scooter from them which had a very high quality! I am super happy and grateful I stayed at El Homestay and I am already planning to come back:). I honestly fell in love with this family. If you want to have homestay which feels like home and get to know the village of Bunaken and the culture you should definetely stay at El Homestay!

Beautiful bungalow located in the nice garden with lots of colorful plants, super clean, hot shower and every day a new piece of chocolate on the pillow! Jan, the host, is super friendly and helpful. We could rent a scooter from him directly and he had lots of useful tips for things to visit in the area! The breakfast was delicious (especially the local one) and we also did some laundry for a good price.

It's a real island experience. You can go diving or snorkeling everyday. Frangky also offers snorkeling and dolphin tours which we did and it was amazing! We had all inclusive which was totally worth it because it tasted wonderful! The rooms are simple but really nice and comfortable. For 3€ more you can get a room with an Aircon if you need, otherwise the fan is also working quite good. Frangky also helped us to organise the trip to Gorontalo from Manado which worked out really good. All the people there are really nice and you feel welcomed from the first second. I can only recommend to stay there!

We had a wonderful time in this location tucked away on a small beach in the forests of Sulawesi. The comfortable cabins were right on the beach. Staff did everything to make our stay memorable and as comfortable as possible in the rainy season.

Comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Incredibly lovely staff and owner who offers tours to local sights, like the volcano, waterfalls and market. The restaurant at the resort is very very delicious so worth eating there!
