Hollesley

Amazing - clean, comfy loads of room for 4, complimentary goodies on arrival including a bottle of Prosecco (very nice touch). 5 min walk to the lively waterfront with bars and restaurants. If going for football not far from the ground either also free parking in security gated car park. Highly recommend.

The location is excellent - a few mins walk from the ferry to Orford Ness. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was great - quite old with character, but with modern features. Hot water in the bathroom was very good. Quite a soft bed with a thick duvet. Our cooked veggie breakfast was great. Note that there is no parking on site, but there is a public car park directly opposite the pub, and as a resident you can get free parking there. You need a ticket from the pub to place in the car.
This hotel is excellent. The rooms and hotel itself are tired and could do with a revamp, but it is clean, has a lovely bar, the staff are exceptional, the breakfast is really really good - full breakfast, salmon, unlimited toast, jams, yogurts, tea, coffee and juices. Small car park, but plenty of on street parking. Short walk into town, which is perfect. I would highly recommend The Blyth if you want a budget weekend away with breakfast included.
