Most are OK, some not great, but few are truly exceptional. The Sail Lofts are firmly in the exceptional category. The accommodation was excellent - comfortable and smartly furnished, the location was outstanding, the breakfast provided (in advance) was the best I've ever seen, and the stay was great value for money. Truly a (very rare) 10/10 for me, by far and away the best spot in Douglas that I've stayed - and there have been many!

Location on the waterfront was lovely, room was spacious, comfortable and clean, the breakfast was plentiful and very, very good and Yolandi and Jacques our hosts were just fantastic, couldn't have done more, will definitely stay again and are highly recommend, thank you for a great stay

Situated 2 minutes’ walk from the beach, The Devonian features a view over the Glen Falcon and landscaped gardens. Douglas town centre and the start and finish point for the Isle of Man TT motorcycle race are just a 5-minute walk. Good breakfast menu, excellent cooking, room was clean and neat, we moved the two twin beds together, I like to have my wife within striking distance, Kevin, one of the proprietors gave me a space heater as I was unaccustomed to the cold.

Englewood Lodge offers luxury accommodation with spacious bathrooms, bathrobes and slippers. The modern rooms offer free mineral water and fresh fruit, and each has a TV and hairdryer. It’s homely, cosey, comfortable. The facilities are to a fabulous srandard. We’ve stayed in the queen room and it’s just gorgeous. Stayed 3 times now and can’t wait to go back. Breakfast is 5 star. Nothing is to much trouble for Margaret and always welcomes you with a smile. Love love love it

This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1 km from Laxey Wheel. Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at The Cottage. This is a beautifully presented quirky one bedroom cottage, perfect for the two of us. Upon arrival The Cottage was immaculate & is very well supplied with everything you need for a self catering holiday. There is instant hot water even when heating isn't on, shower has great water pressure too. There is a small private patio area off the kitchen which we didn't use during our stay but in height of summer will be a lovely place to sit. The cottage is alongside the electric railway embankment & viaduct; we believe the cottage was there long before the railway (very slight noise as the train passes, but not intrusive at all). Approx a 10 mins walk to Laxey Beach which when we were there the sun was shining & the bay was a busy & happy place. We used (for the first time) public transport into Douglas, buses were every half hour up until 10pm, then hourly (good app available to check times etc). Short walk up some slightly steep hills onto the main road where there's local shops, pubs the electric railway & where you pick up public transport. Highly recommend & would definitely look at staying here again next time we're on the island.

This beachfront property offers access to a patio. The aparthotel offers quiet street views, a picnic area, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The accommodation was exactly as described, bigger than I'd imagined and in a beautiful setting. It was wonderfully clean and high quality with everything we could have needed including the small important things we always forget in self-catering - washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets etc. Asma and Lisa could not have been more helpful or accommodating. A perfect stay, thank you so much.
