Our host though was why we would come back. He was such a kind person and engaging conversationalist with whom we immensely enjoyed spending time.

We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). It was nice to see these businesses being supported this way. I liked the different scents in the rooms. The accommodation was really really comfortable. I honestly did not want to leave. The outdoor space was great for enjoying the sunsets and dark skies. The location is ideal for exploring Uist, Lewis, boat trips and the whole of Harris. Lots of garden birds in the garden enjoying having baths in the burn (I watched them from the stone seat).Excellent local shop just 1 minute down road.

Hosts are very helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Very relaxing. The beaches are stunning, the sea is turquoise and the sand is white, it was like having a tropical beach all to yourself, without the sweltering heat. Just perfect.

Julia let me know beforehand that there is a Nespresso machine, so I could get some of my favorite pads. The place was exceptionally clean. Location is lovely and very quiet.
