The room size is okay, and the location is great. The staff is nice and there is a large onsite parking area, which costs £11 a day and is very convenient. It's also one of Durham's best hotels.
Friendly greeting in the bar area. Late check in times available, easy free parking. Very quiet despite roadside position. Large clean room. The rooms fittings were very similar to those I recall from my grandmother's house that was in the area, so nostalgic of a bygone era though some might think it old fashioned I found it nostalgic and characterfull. Fridge, micro wave, toaster and kettle in the room would make this excellent for a longer stay. Keeping in mind the low cost this was far better than I had expected.
Very welcoming & friendly staff, we arrived 11:30am but let us check in early, Plenty of free parking in the car park, Breakfast was very nice with lots off Choice cereal, fruit, yoghurts & full English breakfast with tea, coffee & juice. Bus stops outside to Durham or Newcastle, Beamish 7 minutes away by car too.
Superb location for beach access and close to other towns / cities. Will definitely return for more seaglass hunting! Will look forward to sampling the new bar next time. Free parking in car parks in Seaham is a big bonus.
The property was traditional and cosy. It was well kept and the room was spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of on street parking nearby and no problem finding a spot.
Location was excellent, free parking right outside. Free parking in all beach car parks. Beds were very comfortable with mattress toppers. Lovely bathroom and nice toiletries. Great communication from owners pre arrival.
The pub is in very good location in the centre of town with plenty of on-street parking nearby. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay there again.
Room extremely well appointed, even with a small fridge with fresh milk in and bottled water. Huge choice of lovely food at breakfast and very well cooked. The only downside was the very narrow access to car park, but there’s plenty of on-street parking so there’s no real need to use it.
