Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Portman Lodge offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. With free private parking, the property is 20 km from Monkey World and 25 km from Poole Harbour. Corfe Castle is 32 km away and Salisbury Racecourse is 35 km from the guest house. Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

The property is soundproof and is set 11 km from Golden Cap. Great little place, with everything you could need, lovely sea views. Very comfortable and a good location to walk into Lyme Regis.

Stephanie was very friendly and gave us good tipps for a trip to Portland. The breakfast was very delicious. Our room was free upgraded to a bigger one. We liked it a lot at Marjune Guest House. The beach is only a short walking distance away. Stephanie helped us finding a parking lot and gave us a free parking permit. Everything was perfect :-)
Free parking and very pleasant staff. A good welcome and excellent breakfast. The breakfast room was modern and very clean. Staff allowed us to leave car in their car park for a little longer whilst we went for a walk after checking out. Good booking process. Good views from the back of the property over the sea. Good for walking into town and local shops and beaches.

Great accommodation with two separate sleeping areas - good quality bed linen and towels. Really clean with bonus of abundant supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits and bottled water. Room has excellent sound proofing so couldn't hear any noise from the pub. However the clock tower is right next to building with first chimes starting at 08.00am which you can hear (it is switched off overnight). Quite a few stairs to room as on 2nd floor. No onsite parking - but used council car park short walk away from hotel.
It was quirky and very old. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of facilities, including hair dryer and ironing board. The property was very well located opposite Sherborne Abbey and right in the centre of town. Free parking nearby was provided.
Wendy and Mark are perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Mark prepares an excellent breakfast. Wendy was very helpful with information about dining and entertainment and places to visit.The parking permit for the car park was a bonus which was 2mins away much better than on street parking.
Room was light and airy. Standard room with lovely large bathroom. Breakfast great value and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn't park onsite as it was full but free parking nearby in two carparks or on street parking about 5 minute walk away.
The flat was homely and tasteful, whilst being clutter free. The roof terrace is a great addition to the flat that we made the most of for al-fresco dining (on the one evening that the weather allowed us to). The view from the terrace was lovely. Having free on street parking nearby was a bonus seeing as the flat is so close to the town centre. But that being said, it was also far enough out of the centre of town that it was not noisy. Overall, a really lovely flat.
