The George Hotel's historic exterior hides modern interiors and facilities. The George was perfect in every way. The staff were very attentive, the room was immaculate and the whole hotel is beautiful. I loved the Christmas decorations as they were very tasteful. I loved that they lit a fire in the evening. I thank the staff for their attentive, professional, humble way of looking after me. I will definitely be coming back.

Gardens we’re fabulous and the food exceptional!

The accommodation features luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. The room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely. There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very close to the bus stop and there was a nearby pub. The buses were down for the bank holiday, so we walked to and from Lyme Regis via a beautiful river path.
