The staff at this charming hotel were incredibly welcoming, and the location is stunning! From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in a sense of relaxation and beauty. Our room was situated not in the main building (the castle) but in a lovely annex. It was quiet at night, which is very important to me. The room was spacious and cozy, with tea, coffee, and water available for free. We dined at the restaurant inside the Domaine; the food was good, though in my humble opinion, not exceptional. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The beautiful breakfast room, located inside the castle, offered a great variety of choices. The garden and the view are stunning, with swimming pools located in various spots. Having visited many hotels in Dordogne during my stay, Château de Monrecour was definitely my favorite. I hope to have the chance to go back soon.

Perfect place and last opportunity to get some extra provisions for example much needed ponchos etc located near the Camino office. Great restaurant recommendation, we went to Le Chat Perché. Was delicious and cosy on a miserable rainy evening
