This family-run bed and breakfast hotel is located directly on the Moselle with a view of the Reichsburg castle. It is just a 10-minute walk along the Moselle promenade from the historic old town centre of Cochem. The place is very clean, professional and just on the edge of town so a bit quieter than many of the other hotels. Parking was good as well.

The property features river views and is 46 km from Monastery Maria Laach and 48 km from Nuerburgring. Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had!
