We were afraid that we would get back pain from the beds (Kang Style bed means a brick / wood underground and a thin mattress), but unless you have severe back problems, you'll sleep well here.

As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

The Elsewhere hotel was a little gem: it felt like were were staying at one of the ancient buildings we saw around town, while still having the comfort of a modern hotel room. I would recommend accepting the pick up service offered from the train station, since it's quite far from the hotel: we were greeted by Alice, who spoke excellent English and who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even booking the tickets for the city's attractions with her own phone and account when mine didn't want to cooperate. We went to Ping Yao to experience ancient China, and came away with the experience of a lifetime.

The guest house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. The owner, he was very helpfull with everything. He tried his best to speak English and helped with the places to go. Also, I had an early check-out, but made sure I had breakfast. Finally he took a scooter so he could take me to the gate voor a taxi.

It is also easy to get taxi and not far from the train stations. The host was very friendly and helpful. She tried to speak with me in both English abd Chinese so i can practise my Chinese.😊 Im happy to find such a good place for my trip.😊

It has paper-cut teaching and a gift shop on site. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.
