Marcela and her staff go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, see the sites you would like, and are healthily nourished. Every meal was phenomenal - for dinners we had shrimp ceviche, pasta bolognese, and fresh red snapper. Marcela also arranged an ATM tour for us on our first day and gave us tips and advice for the rest of our days and the activities we wanted to do. She also gave us a fresh coconut to enjoy by the pool after a couple long and hot days & we were lucky enough to leave with some starfruit, Jamaican limes, and grapefruit from her garden!

They also have a private terrace overlooking the gardens. This place hugely exceeded our expectations. So much so that I actually told the owners they are way under charging! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was magical. This is a top end accommodation, yet the price would lead you to expect less.

Christelle was a lovely host. Organized tours for us, excellent restaurant suggestions and very helpful. Accommodations are very well appointed and beautifully decorated. Private patio to view the river and wildlife. Highly recommend!

Loved everything about our stay here, it was pure perfection. If it’s available, do not pass up the opportunity to experience it. The lodge is beautiful and so well designed and presented, with lovely homely touches, clean spacious shower room, comfortable bed and bedroom with cracking aircon, great outdoor seating area, in all just cannot fault it. Communication with Hadas/Dusty was spot on, Hadas also arranged for us to do bird watching and cooking onsite with Flora, both of which were great experiences. On arrival we were met by Willy and Stinky who are both adorable and so friendly, they spent a lot of time with us when we were there! Willy was also a great swimming buddy in the river. Facilities in the lodge were second to none and also catered for our unstated needs! Fully stocked kitchen and a bonus of running bottled water. Having the river there to both cool down in and sunbathe by was a bonus and well used with the humidity at the time we stayed. The location was perfect for us, far enough from town to be remote and only a few mins drive into civilisation. Albert, the main man on site in the day, was lovely and friendly and we had some good conversation with him. The security here is also good, with an electric entrance gate and non intrusive cameras, but Willy and Stinky were the best security, making sure you knew about any movement even remotely near the property! They also slept outside our room on a night, ready and waiting for a breakfast treat in the morning! So cute. If you’re not a dog lover though, they won’t bother you, so please don’t be put off by them being there.
