The location was wonderful. I loved the animals all around us and the views were incredible. A great place to unwind and relax. Perfect for couples to get away. The staff were really nice. You get to feed alpaccas and they have a common room where you can play board games, pool, grab movies to watch in your room.

The host was fantastic, greeted us despite our very late arrival and farewelled us when we left. We had a rental car and could park off street in a carport which was also a bonus. The room and facilities were excellent and there were individual touches throughout that made it feel ‘special’ Large main room with a comfy bed, good size kitchenette and a nice small private courtyard area which was lovely in the mornings

Spread out over 6000 acres and offering pet-friendly accommodation, Turon Gates - Mountain Retreat is a tranquil bush property located in the Blue Mountains. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Sydney.

The property offers guests a choice of private rustic log cabins, glamping tents situated along 15km of clear streams and luxury cottages with mountain views. Each cottage features open-plan living areas, cosy fireplaces, eco-friendly solar powered, private outdoor BBQ and eating areas. Rooms include views of the mountain or river. Every cottage is fitted with at least one private bathroom. Superior rooms feature a spa bath. The location is unique and special, located on an enormous privately-owned reserve near Turon National Forest. There really aren't many like this in the world. If you ever wanted to spend time in a remote section of an Australian forest, you couldn't find a much better choice than this. The wildlife is abundant, the scenery is mind-boggling, and you can completely disconnect from the outside world (you pretty much have to, because there is no internet or mobile phone service in the valley). The cabin was rustic, but very comfortable and with a good kitchen to cook in. The wood stove kept the house warm even on a night that got down to 5C, and the Kookaburras that woke us at dawn each morning were a delight.

I don’t think there is enough space to write everything we loved. but, the attention to detail and the homeliness of the property was exceptional. nothing was too much trouble for the host, extremely helpful and great tourist tips.

The breakfast was delicious and mostly homemade. Room and Bathroom were very clean and the bed was really comfy. It's really quiet and after a short drive you are close to everything you want.
