The hotel is situated high in the mountains. In the evenings, it was quite cold outside, but you could warm your rooms with a fireplace or electrical heater. The dinners were outstanding. Because of the weather we were not able to have a walk around the hotel but from the little non-foggy windows I believe the view is magnificent. Having monkies all around has its own charm as well.

Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine.

In this misty 'Scottish' landscape Gustavs house with his heatable matresses was an oasis of well-beeing. Best location. central to all main attractions and activities. everything is within a short distance. The place is very clean and has basic necessities in the kitchen, extra throws in the living room as well as the wall heaters and fan heater came in very handy as we were a little underprepared for the misty and rainy weather. One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The rooms are in good condition - fresh and clean despite the hotel being quiet for so long and still recovering from the fall-out of Covid. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The barman (Ken) entertained our group well and made for a fun evening with our friends. Parking (secure) was easy and spacious and covered.
