I spent 2 nights at the Indigenous homestay. It was such an incredible experience to stay with this H’mong family and to experience their authentic way of living. The homestay is located high up in the mountains so the view from the room was amazing, as well as the whole area of Mu Cang Chai. I did the full day motorbike tour with Yien who showed me around Mu Cang Chai, its beautiful spots and the rice terraces, and I learned a lot about the H’mong culture. Also Yien and his family are so welcoming and sweet. It was so lovely to have lunch and dinner with the family. Thank you again! Would recommend this highly!

The property has fantastic views. Postcard views of Mu Cang Chai. Highly recommend this homestay for the location. The rooms are basic with clean bed(hard bed), and clean bathroom. The room has beautiful views of the valley and rice fields. The food was also very basic. Bring your own groceries or inform the host what you would like to eat so he can procure it. We enjoyed our stay. The host is very warm, polite, friendly and honest person. The location of the homestay is on a top of mountain, the way to the homestay is a very steep, high gradient. A Car or Scooter both will struggle to get there, unless you have a very powerful vehicle. Call the host ahead of climbing the hill, he will guide you for a less steeper way. Our two wheel drive-car-was stuck and we had to call the host.

Everything about this place was wonderful! It’s off the beaten path and located in a beautiful area overlooking the mountains. The views are amazing. Ky and his family are the sweetest. He was one of the kindest hosts I have had during all my travels in Vietnam. He sincerely cares about you and goes the extra mile to make sure you are OK. He will book buses and tours for you and make sure you get where you need to go. I highly recommend doing one of the treks they offer. Ky was not available, but he arranged for his sister to take me. Even though she spoke limited English, she was absolutely wonderful and I had such a time with her. As with most rural homestays, if you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. But the rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious! Definitely a great place to stay if you are few days to relax and unwind.

The breakfast was pretty basic. Omelette and bread but tasted good. Staff were lovely! Very friendly and helpful. When I accidentally broke one of the mirrors on their rental scooter the owner said “don’t worry about it, as long as you are okay”. Love that! Great shower too, Nice and powerful
