Amazing place!! Felt like an oasis with the garden in the middle of the property. Hot water shower and clean bathroom, and a kitchen area. I really enjoyed my stay here - it provided some much needed rest before and after my trip into the Fann mountains. The owner Zafar was incredibly helpful and helped me sort out my transportation to both the Fann mountains and Dushanbe, arranging a shared taxi from the hostel so I didn’t have to navigate the marshrutka and bus system! I was even able to store one of my bags here for a few days while I went to the mountains. Since I don’t know Russian or Tajik, being able to speak in English was extremely helpful. Thanks again!

Before visiting Asham I thought I had problems with sleeping, but in this place you REALLY have a good rest. Gusar village is 25 min far from Penjikent by car (you can catch the one near the M.Bashoro mosque in Penjikent), the guesthouse is situated in the Asham store building. There is a local market, grocery stores and marshrutka stop near. My dormitory was very big and clean, bed was extra-comfortable, window view was the best ever (mountains). The shower is inside the dormitory, it s very convinient! Hot water 24/7, towels and slippers, kettle and cups are provided. Room was much better than photos on booking, so if you are looking for the comfort and calmness Asham is what you need. But be informed that on Saturdays and Sundays a noisy tajik weddings can be held in the building. Anyway it is a good opportunity to see tajik wedding)) It`s ok if you make photos and dance with guests)) Staff was so kind and hospitable, if you have any problem or question, just ask)

Located at one end of Panjakent's main avenue, this is the best hotel in the city and one of the best in Taiyikistan. Rooms are huge and beautifully decorated as well as the other areas of the hotel. Everything is spotless and tidy. The staff, like everybody in the rest of the country, is really friendly and nice, way different from its neighbour countries; Kadir and the other female receptionist make you feel as if you were at home. After a strenuous journey at the Fann Mountains, returning to this hotel was like being in an oasis.

Nice people, nice place. Some rooms have great views of the mountains. Nearby if you can find it, very tasty and cheap shashlik place for lunch. Good wifi. Hot shower. You can take any marshrutka to the bazaar, or it is an easy 35 minute walk. Regional history Museum is right nearby, worth seeing. Ancient Panjakent is reachable directly with Marshrutka Number 5 from outside the hotel across the street.
