The location is absolutely wonderful. Directly at the beach with a lot of nature is it the best place to relax. The people are super friendly and help you with everything including pick up/drop off or a fishing trip in a boat. There are a lot of cosy places on site like hammocks, loungers and yoga decks so perfectly to enjoy the day.

First thoughts about our stay at Koh Phaluai Eco Resort? An adventure and incredibly kind hosts. We spent two nights there and had an English speaking private guide the whole time. Max showed us the most beautiful places on the island in his 4x4 and we had a private longtail boat for our trip to Mu Ko Ang National Park. We visited the park without the crowds as we could start early and were always ahead of the day trippers from Koh Samui. On our last day we had another private longtail boat for snorkelling. We also celebrated a birthday there and they made the most amazing romantic dinner on the beach with crabs (we fetched them ourselves from the local fishermen with our guide) and even a birthday cake (ordered from the mainland). They try to make your stay unforgettable. And Max not only showed us the beauty of the island, but also the real insides, like how they get their electricity, water or if they have medical facilities. Your stay here will give you a glimpse of what backpacking was like in the 80s/90s and what the big islands like Koh Samui were like at that time.

Chris does his best to help with everything, good wifi, friendly people (but no English spoken :-), easy and fast transport to the pier; for what you get it could be a bit cheaper (we had better rooms for the same price) - or they should offer a family room for 4 for a reasonable price (we had to take 2 bungalows)
Featuring a garden, Baansuan Resort is situated a short drive from the 3 piers where guests can take a ferry to visit the famous nearby islands including Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.

Peace and serenity plus great little bar/restaurant 2 mins away. The sisters who run this bar showed us a great time all afternoon and night
