The owner is very warm and helpful. My friend and I felt welcome from the first moment and were. the pool is nice to have, but the courtyard itself is gigantic. You are invited to sit down on the sofa and read something or whatever you feel like doing. It is a small oasis of peace that the owner has created.

Mike’s place is a wonderful secluded fishing paradise. Not really being a fisherman, I chose it to explore the region with a car. From there it’s easy to do day trips around the whole area, including west coast, Krabi, Phang Nga Bay, Khao Sok, etc. Sure I tried fishing and we got a huge relic fish whose origins are traced back over 100 million years ago. The property itself is well maintained which is rare in Thailand. Mike the owner is very positive and welcoming. He puts a lot of heart and efforts into the place and one can feel it when staying there. Hope to be back one day.

The family who run the establishment are very friendly, speak great english and went above and beyond to organise tours for us. The family can give you a run down of the history of the house, approximately 150 years old as well as providing you with great history about Phang-Nga. The little town has great sites to see if you wish to do a walking tour and you get great views of the mountains from the rooftop.

The whole property was really nicely decorated throughout. The room was extremely spacious and very comfortable. Very fast WiFi and a smart TV too! The owner was really nice and very helpful; booking us an incredible boat tour to Koh Panyee and James Bond Island, as well as a driver to Samet Nangshe and also our onward travel! Would definitely recommend this hidden gem. (Cash only if paying on arrival)
