It's a very quite and healthy feeling location, with large grounds around the house. No dogs barking at night and virtually no passing traffic. The bedroom is compact with a nice firm Thai style bed. The bathroom is large with a good water heater for the shower. Wi-Fi was good as was the AC, a wall fan is also fitted for the days when the AC is not needed. There's also a TV, but as it only has Thai programs (I think) I didn't bother with it. The smallish kitchen has a microwave, electric kettle and smallish fridge, ample facilities if you plan to eat outside at one of the many local restaurants. Your own transport (motorbike or car) is a good idea, because although the property is only 1 or 2 kms from Mae Wang it's a bit remote with no passing red or yellow vans. There's undercover seating outside with ample parking space and a washing machine. The host is a really nice helpful guy with excellent English. If I forget to mention anything my apologies.

If, like us, you are looking for somewhere to relax after your travels then Sela is absolutely the perfect place to unwind, just 30 mins outside Chiangmai. The building is beautiful and the staff is most welcoming and attentive. The grounds are well maintained and the good-sized pool is immaculate, with both shady and sunny spots to relax. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and Windows restaurant, open from midday, offers delicious dishes to suit all tastes. It is perhaps surprising to discover that the property was built very recently as it echos the style and grandeur of yesteryear. I’m certain this beautiful hotel will soon become a go-to destination for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of Chiangmai for the peace and quiet of the countryside. All in all this property is an absolute gem

The owners of Grey House are lovely people. They gave me my space, and also did things to make me feel like a part of their family. They took me grocery shopping with them, introduced me to local markets and temples, and assisted me with securing rides into town for business. The house is kept very clean with a simple elegance, and is in a quiet peaceful environment. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. I had lots of private time to myself, yet felt looked after. I was invited to pick vegetables, herbs and berries from their garden, and even participated in the families Loy Krathong festivities. Breakfast often included produce right from their gardens. I prepared dinner for myself most nights in the traditional Thai kitchen. The place is beautiful and secluded with so many interesting things to see right on the property. I really enjoyed my time there, and would return. Thank you Nas, Jaep, Namo, Mother, and Father🙏

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is very nice. We stayed there for almost four weeks and felt at home. The hotel is equipped with a kitchen that has everything you could need for cooking (no rice cooker though). The swimming pool is very big and awesome. They also have a very nice cafe next to the hotel that is a very chill place to spend time. It was just a bit noisy at the time we were there due to construction, but only because they are building a very very nice place. Also as digital nomads we can say that the internet signal is strong everywhere and very good, even for video calls. We will definitely come back there if we ever go again in this area.

This was a lovely homestay. My room and balcony overlooked green fields with birds of all sorts. The room was comfortable, spotless, and well equipped with a refrigerator, tea kettle, well working and quiet AC, and great WiFi. The pool was perfect with comfortable sitting. The host is an excellent cook so I was able to enjoy a wonderful dinner after my long drive as well as a great breakfast in the morning. It was a short drive into Chiang Mai Old City, but I felt like I was miles from the city. My google maps easily took me right to the front door. The staff were lovely and helpful in any way they could.

We are a group of 8 friends. We all enjoyed so much our stay! It is in a quiet location and good for bicycling in neighbor. Spacious compound with a well-maintained tropical garden, swimming pool, and long-legged wooden bungalows. The owner and staff are very friendly and super helpful. The bungalow is quite spacious and can host up to a family of 4. In our room, there are one king bed and a bunk bed. Overall, the accommodation is good for nature lovers. Although the accommodation is quite far from the city center, we got a red taxi recommended by the owner. Reasonable price per trip.
