The owner of the guesthouse was very nice, hospitable, and spoke excellent English and German. During breakfast, which was delicious, she gave our 3-year-old daughter some toys to play with, which was really very kind...! The guesthouse was charming, clean and comfortable...! The Food. We made somewhat of an emergency stop here, necessitated by the powerful rainstorm that struck Central Europe (and caused massive flooding) the day we rented a car in Graz, Austria and had planned to drive all the way down to the Opatija area in Croatia. The driving that day was horrible.
So we stopped at this Pension before completing even a third of the planned drive and hunkered down for the Day of Downpour. It was great for that: our little 'suite' was so close to the main restaurant that we were able to stay pretty dry all day and night. The restaurant had great choices, including a surfeit of delicious pizzas (all of which could be made gluten free) and were willing to let us split a tasty good-sized salad for dinner after we had pigged out on two large pizzas at lunchtime.
And, the free (with the room) breakfast the next morning was GREAT!
