Blerta's apartment is absolutely perfect to visit Prizren. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the bridge and all the restaurants and bars by the river. .. One of the most amazing places I've ever stayed in the world. I've certainly stepped from the 21st century back in time, back to a time where families work hand-in-hand, it is a community! Their is a pride in their culture, presentation, preparation of their food they offer. With homegrown or the best staples, fresh vegetables, and fruit. Delicious. +Local cafe, rakia, wines etc...It's a way of life, a tradition, to take care of each other, the community and their guests! Oh boy, you are treated like one of the family, an honored guest, a queen! The facilities themself are absolutely gorgeous. It should be part of a movie set or this should be the place any prestigious film maker would beg to borrow gorgeous, authentic antiques. No one could believe the collections. You'll just have to come for several days to absorb this wonder. The love and care in presenting all this as " our home, your hotel, your home away from home". The background music is amazing. Speaking about music, on the second floor they have a music room.. beautiful pictures and a collection of instruments to die for. Oh yeah, we're talking about the hotel. My room is out of this world!! It's gorgeous, comfortable, warm, views of the 1st century fort, ancient famous mosque and church, across the cobblestones road is the Dervish house. A modern town over looking the River Lombardhi with a long, long promenade trailing the river, Cafe/bar, any kinda shop you want or need on both sides of said river.. I think I've landed in a time warp.I don't even feel like I need to go outside to see this beautiful city. They kindly accepted my request for a few more days to stay. I am short on time and will cut off a few days at another dream destination I have been planning all my life. Sure will be back here time and time again. If only in my dreams or revisited memories. I will never forget this family, community..they've landed in my heart and soul.
