The sisters who owned this property were lovely. I got a bit lost in the evening (technology!) and arrived late. They don't provide food but they made me a sandwich and a piece of cake - which was much appreciated and very kind. They made breakfast to my requirements. I couldn't have asked for more pleasant hosts.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Bilhó, Casa da Avó Ana Alvão is a holiday home surrounded by views of the garden.

This property is a little gem! It is beautifully constructed from the local stone and has lots of character features, eg, beams, shutters and window seats in the main bedroom. Yet, it also has the benefits of modern life with excellent wi-fi, powerful shower and a dishwasher. The kitchen is really well stocked with dishes and utensils. The house was immaculately clean. The outside area is small but has been laid out really well to take advantage of the space; it has a BBQ with a stone table and wooden stools. There is also a bench and two sun loungers. The owner was incredibly friendly. He drove to meet us, and showed us where the house was. He very helpfully showed us local features on a map. He even drove us in his car to show us where the nearest shop is and where people swim in a river.

The room was very spacious. I liked that you can turn the shades up and down while lying in bed. The host was very nice. The location is beautiful. Breakfast was oke for me. It was possible to boil eggs yourself, never seen that before in a hotel buffet😉.

Comfortable rooms with good bathroom facilities and a spacious walk-in shower . Parking near the hotel was straightforward, and the buffet breakfast was not that extensive but was perfectly tasty. All in all, a good base for exploring the area or when visiting friends
