What a wonderful welcome to the Azores! This historic property is situated on a small town square next to the old fountain. It has been lovingly cared for for generations and still retains the stone oven and many other details. José met us with a warm smile and showed us the small family museum adjacent to the house. The refrigerator was fully stocked. We were able to see the bull "fight" right in front of the house. We loved every minute of our stay... a 10+!

Casa Grande is a lovely and spacious house, suitable for every kind of traveller. It's located very close to Angra do Heroismo (short car trip) and offers a range of comfortable rooms, where one feels cozy and may enjoy breathtaking views, even when the Azorean weather doesn't allow for hikes, walks or ocean baths. Moreover, apart from the wonderful accommodation, Georgina and Joao are extremely kind, worried and discreet. It's a place we most definitely recommend and we look forward to staying at Casa Grande whenever we have the chance to return to Terceira. (We just wished we could have Lourinha back home but, oh well, we will just have to visit again!)

The location is superb and the sea and islet views are phenomenal. The house is quaint and beautifully furnished. It has everything we needed as well as ample parking. There is a really nice little restaurant close by.
