A beautiful hotel in a lovely location between Porto and the Vineyards of the Douro Valley, elevated and overlooking the river and it's own vineyard (as does the infinity pool!)
The rooms are modern and well appointed. We had a room in the original stone building so, as others have said, these are small, but perfectly adequate for us with a fantastic view. There are also new, modern buildings, and separate villas too so, if space is required then these may suit better.
The whole place is spotlessly clean and managed by friendly, English speaking staff.
Car parking is plentiful, free and secure.
The restaurant is small and informal with an excellent menu for lunch and dinner as well as great wines, as you might expect.
If we'd had the time we'd have stayed longer.
We hope to return to this lovely place on another occasion and explore this region further.

The host was extremelly helpful and was fully availabe to meet us even though we arrived late and took great care to ensure we felt welcomed. She had prepared a list of local places to visit and always replied very quickly when we needed something.
The apartment is amazing, well equipped and located nearby several supermarkets, cafes, gas stations, etc.
