This place is lovely. After travelling around the area we realised we could have stayed here more than one night and wished we had. We had a room in the main house and the lads had the 2 bedroom house. Our room was lovely but the house is fabulous and very well equipped. Lovely area outside the house to sit and enjoy the sun. The hostess was very welcoming. Croissants, water, tea and coffee provided. Shops not too far away. Close to centre which looked lovely but a lot was closed due to a religious celebration. Plenty of room for motorbikes and a gated entrance to the grounds.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely location between Porto and the Vineyards of the Douro Valley, elevated and overlooking the river and it's own vineyard (as does the infinity pool!)
The rooms are modern and well appointed. We had a room in the original stone building so, as others have said, these are small, but perfectly adequate for us with a fantastic view. There are also new, modern buildings, and separate villas too so, if space is required then these may suit better.
The whole place is spotlessly clean and managed by friendly, English speaking staff.
Car parking is plentiful, free and secure.
The restaurant is small and informal with an excellent menu for lunch and dinner as well as great wines, as you might expect.
If we'd had the time we'd have stayed longer.
We hope to return to this lovely place on another occasion and explore this region further.

Modern cabin within the nature. Tiny space (still large enough for three people), but all you need for your comfort. Aircon, fridge, toilet and hot-water shower, coffee + hot-water machines within the cabin. Private jacuzzi at the cabin. Horses walking next to cabin, superb view over the valley.
