Amarante is a charming town that is in a good position to explore other parts of the region. As the house is in the suburbs in the hills, the 25 minute walk down into the town is very steep, but there are buses and taxis to get back up if you don't want to drive.

They made sure my stay was comfortable and made sure I knew they were available if anything was needed. Maria even helped me book a taxi when I could not get any transportation on my own. Truly extraordinary. This was a quiet and peaceful area that one could rest at. I would certainly return if I were in the area again.
