Peaceful location. Lots of space rain or shine. Very well equipped with everything needed for a large family and entertaining friends. Amazing pool and lovely hosts! Fresh vegetables and eggs from the garden plot were great too.

the house was very well put together, the swimming pool and hot tub were fantastic and very clean. There were loungers around the pool and plenty of outside seating. there was a welcome basket of local foods on arrival which was appreciated. The BBQ area and outside gazebo were great. The rooms were very clean and we really appreciated the towels provided for the swimming pool. the washing machine was handy and was put to use. Overall a brilliant house to rent for a large group of friends and I would definitely consider going back.

Ideal place for family as a base to discover whole island if you have car. There are several rooms upstairs for sleeping and livingroom with kitchen at lower floor. Owners are very friendly and helpfull. They will suggest good places and times to go and in the accomodation they have file with interesting places to see and do - its quite extensive and they have it in English, Portugues and French. They have two dogs and ferret, however, if you stay at your part of house you do not meet them. There is a nice swimming pool available. If you like nature, you are surrounded by it. If you are more city person, in the morning you will be awakened by roosters calling their flocks and if weather is windy, during night you will feel like on a you will feel like you are on a three-mast on a stormy sea, yet it is lovely and natural noice.

The house is very spacious with comfy beds. The shower is really nice, good pressure and the living room area feels nice to be there and enjoying some time with friends. You have an outside area with a garden that you can enjoy when the sun is shining and also a rooftop. It's a nice and quiet area.

If I could give rate this place with more than 10, I would certainly give 100. It is like finding a house in San Miguel. Rosa and Joaquim are so kind, warm-hearted and generous hosts. They were just like my parents, caring when I was late, asking for my well-being everyday. I stayed in separate house, with its own garden. Home itself has everything you could possibly think of. Wonderful house, amazing hosts, peaceful surrounding, beautiful garden and lovely small village. I had milk, jam and other stuff for breakfast prepared for me. Even separate towel was provided for thermal baths and beach. Told so much information about island and its beauty. No tour guide can give such attention and tips. I forgot my driver’s licence(I know that it is really goofy thing for island) and couldn’t rent a bike from Ponta Delgada. Joaquim lent his bike, which is so sweet and considerate. Just come and stay here for everything you need for perfect stay. Thank you so so so much Rosa and Joaquim❤️

Our 5 night stay in this charming house was very comfortable and relaxing. We had everything we needed to cook meals. It’s centrally located on the island. Ana was very welcoming and friendly. We would love to stay here again if heading back to Sao Miguel.

This is a beautiful spot! The cottage is perfect, the grounds are gorgeous, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nearby is a restaurant/bakery that serves amazing food and also a mini market. The town church/center, ocean, and bus stops are all a short walk away too.
