Perfect location for walking the Paiva boardwalk. We could walk from the house to the trail. Beautiful area in the hills. Super responsive host and Mr Joaquim was always available on-site to help w more firewood or other questions. Comfortable warm house w great fireplace. Kitchen has what you need including a Nespresso coffee machine.

it has everything needed as far as sheets and blanket and towels and kitchenware. the owner was nice and came from Arouca to guide me to the house because my gps was rather “lost”. also arranged for a jeep to take me to Passadicos which was very close.

The house is in a cute mountain village but very private - the terrace overlooks a small valley. It has been restored with an amazing attention to detail and many of the original elements are still there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. And don't miss the restored bathtub in one of the bedrooms! We arrived after walking the Paiva Pathways and crossing the bridge - it was the perfect place to recover by sitting on the lawn and staring at the view. Bring food - once you arrive you won't want to leave again!
