I thoroughly enjoyed my long stay at Alegria Rustica, Anna and Mark were such lovely hosts and really made me feel welcome and ensured I was always happy and comfortable during my stay. The breakfasts were great and filling, lots of organic items like fruit and eggs included from their own garden as well. A great place to visit for some peace and quiet outside the major cities where you can really enjoy the great summer weather and explore the beautiful nature that can be found in central Portugal. There are some great hikes in the area.

The owners are very kind, helpful and nice. Their hospitaly is proverbial. The Madame prepares an art for eating and her food of art can bee seen and is very eatable, with one word, amazing. The couple also produce delicious wine, oranges, mandarines, olives.
My car war broken down and they helped me to find solution. Mr. owner brought a mehanic to see my car and the next day I was able to drive further. All this property has a soul, because the wooden interial equipment is made with love.

The family are awesome, they spent lots of their time giving us lots of good informations. The place is beautiful. The room is in a good size for 3, the beds are confortable and all places smells nice. The breakfast is delicious! We loved the views, the village, the people, castle and the fluvial beach.
