Property was much nicer and much bigger than it looked in the pictures.It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and ideally located in the countryside , but close to Lagos. Milton could not have been a more helpful and welcoming host, he did everything he possibly could to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. All the little extras supplied - water, coffee etc. and vegetables from his garden were much appreciated.

I had a wonderful stay at the Quinta. The accommodation was delightful and spotlessly clean, which is very important to me personally. The environmental factor is also very important to the family, which I appreciated. However, I was most impressed by the passion and love with which Catarina and her family run the farm. They do everything they can to cater to their guests' wishes and give them the best possible stay. How important this is to them is also shown by the fact that they actively seek feedback from their guests in order to keep improving. I was very impressed by this and appreciated it very much! Numerous problems. The check in impossible. We had to drive in excess of 20 kms to check in at an office in downtown Lagos, one way street, no parking. The so called "quinta" is a scruffy converted industrial/farm building. Advertised as two bedrooms but you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other, no hanging space, hook, mirror in this room, hardly a bedroom. Tiny shower room only suitable for ultra slim people, no soap, no shampoo. No juicer, no milk/water/tea bags left. As an AL owner I always provide these. The pool was a joke. A childrens plastic above ground pool , filthy dirty as was the so called "terrace/patio" area. Weeds, old bonfires, old bottles We were woken at 6 am with barking dogs either in a shed in the building or next door, they barked for over two hours. Finally the property is on a dangerous bend and a mirror needs to be erected to show vehicles approaching from the right. All prospective tenants need to be aware of all these shortcomings.

The setting and views are spectacular! Martin's place is completely updated and very comfortable. The host, Miguel, goes above and beyond for his guests. I wish we could have stayed longer.

If you are looking for a place where you have a high standard, a very large and comfortable bed, a safe area where you can leave your car and the best host, you have already found it. Miguel, even before we arrived, sent us details on how to get to the place, what we could visit and how he could help us. Our next stop was Lisbon, Miguel found us the best public transportation connections and gave us lots of tips. When we needed something extra (a towel for the beach or the ability to wash our clothes) he would show up and solve our problems within a minute. We haven't had such a nice and helpful host before.

The home was beautiful. It is located close enough to the city center to have a short drive. The owner was great. He provided with all the information we needed before we got there to have a easy stress free vacation. He provided driving directions, suggested activities and resturants, plus he was an all around good guy.
