João was a charming and gracious host. The house was beautiful, very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Literally next to one of the pedestrian gates to the castle. Close enough to all it has to offer but so quiet, with lovely views across the surrounding farmland.

The house is amazing. We stayed only 2 nights and we had a very full agenda, so we used it only to sleep. But it is really fully furnished to be enjoyed on longer time, with plenty of attention from the owner to his visitors. There are 2 complete bathrooms, downstairs and upstairs. The kitchen has anything you can need, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and all. All products (soaps and coffee capsules) are available. The owner offered us also a small emergency kit (bread, butter, etc) to let us feel comfortable. And he prepared few toys and books for the kids to play with, who were really over the moon.
He also gave us a lot of suggestions, which we could not follow all because we were already busy with friends living in the area as well, but based on the little we did, his recommendation were great. We arrived quite late, at about 1900, so when we asked for a restaurant he booked for us the restaurant where his father works. It couldn’t be better!
Really, if you want to visit the area, stay at this place, you won’t regret at all!

The garden and pool are nice , and after the music was stopped it was a very quiet and relaxing place. The kitchen was a bit spartan but we loved the barbeque outside to grill food. The living rooms of the appartment are nicely decorated.

The flat is very nice decorated, Madalena really has gone the extra mile to make sure the place looks immaculate. Really nice and comfortable beds , very quiet during the day and night , really good if you to have a rest during the day. The host, Madalena , was very friendly, and I could not ask for a better host. Definitely, I will be returning, and I 100% recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really nice place to stay.

Fantastic location, very roomy (much bigger than it looks) beautiful house, very clean, and the host was very helpful.
Obidos is a perfect base to explore Portugal with extremely good road links. The Casa was right in the centre of Obidos, just a couple of minutes walk to the main street. There are plenty of places to eat and a couple of bars, lots of gift-type shops. Nearby are some great beaches - Obidos Lagoon (Foz) and Paniche (a surfing beach) being the nearest two.
The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was sparkling with a great shower.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
