This is not a B&B. This is a portal to a realm of fantasy and comfort. Wherever our eyes met a detail of decoration, it seemed to look back and say: "Look at how perfect I am for this spot! Look at the love with which I have been chosen, positioned and maintained!" Things happened all around us, almost as if by magic, for the single purpose of easing our stay and accompanying us in our enjoyment....(Were those candles lit a second ago?) This is a reflection of the generosity of the owners who are devoted to sharing the love they have poured into their beautiful home with their guests. Herbert, who manages the interactions with guests, is a very kind and gentle soul who made us feel truly at home from the very moment of our arrival. The place is clean to a fault. The beds are most comfortable. The infinity pool is fantastic. Every amenity was provided. And if you were doubting, please, do yourself a favor and ask to be delighted with a most complete and delicious breakfast. Oh, and if you are an animal lover, just ask Herbert whether he likes them or not :) Regarding the town and surroundings, we picked the place by coincidence, without really knowing about the history of the town of Tomar and its surrounding areas, and we were delighted to discover that it is a hotbed for Templar culture and home to emblematic places like the Convent of Christ (Convento de Cristo). All in all, we had the loveliest time at Vista do Vale, and if our path bring us in that direction again, we would not doubt repeating our stay.

The location is fantastic. We were able to tour Coimbra, the Roman ruins at Conimbriga and the beach at Nazare.. Of course we toured the Knights Templar castle in Tomar. The suite is private and the bed was very comfy. Helen really made us feel like family. Fresh bread is delivered daily and oranges and lemons grow on site.

The house had everything we needed and Luis was very attentive, coming to the house when the gas ran out to sort it out. The house is a good size with comfortable beds, a smart TV, all the cooking equipment we needed and its in a great position just outside the town.
