Grand hotel that I think has only recently opened. Lovely views of Monte Brasil. Has a swimming pool. Spacious airy feel to the place and interesting history. Staff are very helpful, professional and friendly. Very personalised feel to the place due to high staff/guest ratio; were able to assist me a lot. Nice breakfast. Large area in front of entrance to park car.

- check in was really easy and flexible, they let us check in sooner which was appreciated - impeccable and fast communication/replies from the owner - great breakfast AND they provided gluten free options for me that I am coeliac - the only room available was a quadruple room and it was only 2 of us, the room was huge with plenty of space, bathroom was super clean and super comfy shower. Fridge and freezer in the room were great plus the wifi was working really well - the style of the place is so nice with loads of lovely details, also farol = lighthouse! - very quiet at night, had a good night sleep
