Very clean Tranquil - it has two other options for restaurants nearby (we recommend the fox and the firefly a few steps away from the resort) and a lovely local village. TukTuks are available to take you to places further away. Beautiful, traditional cottages. Extremely accommodating and hardworking staff who love to help. Gardens are stunning. Rooms cleaned every day. Food prepared was delicious and always fresh. We ate at the property 3/5 night for dinner. Breakfast had many options and all very good portion sizes/very tasty. Fresh towels and bedding ever other day We did a firefly tour with them which they booked 400 pesos. Cathy (the cook’s) husband was our driver for the ‘Countryside tour’. We visited chocolate hills, Tarsier sanctuary, secret falls and the double hanging bridge for a good price! He was also available to take us to the island hopping tour - I would suggest booking this with a company before you arrive then ask Cool River to arrange transport. A additional fan is offered in each room for no additional cost. We had such a lovely stay and loved being surrounded by nature!

Greatest location imaginable! Loved the swimming in the river and the jungle noises at night. I'd suggest to rent a motorbike somewhere in town and travel with light luggage because the road is quite challenging and almost 300 stairs are waiting for you to climb down from the parking. I loved the simple wooden huts without unnecessary comfort - the bed is great, the mosquito net wasn't really necessary for me, the bathroom very spacious - it has all you need. power sockets everywhere! had a great chat with the belgian owner. supernice atmosphere all over.

Amazing warm knowledgeable staff in this gem of an inn! Our kids enjoyed hours in the waterfall pool and we were pleasantly surprised that the place had a beautiful riverside dock! The dock has slides to dive to the river or you can go paddle boarding off the dock. Plenty of outdoor and indoor space with beautiful well-kept tropical plants. Our nature loving kids found so many things to explore. They served the yummiest Filipino soups (amazing price-we shared 2 meals for family of 4 and had left overs) that we ordered for dinner to eat overtop rice then took a firefly boat trip at night. We gazed up stars and magical fireflies. We slept so well at night after a long fun-filled day. The blankets were soft and the AC provided cool comfort while we snored. We would book at Stefanie Grace again without reservation!

The villa is up on the hill, so going there by foot combined with the sun is a bit challenging, but if you rent a bike its no prob so you will have to walk the hill only once. Or if you are not into walking, hire a tricy to get you up. The sunsets there are amazing.
