Patti (La Jefa) is an absolute legend! I cannot say enough about how lovingly we were treated during our stay in this modest and unassuming little village between Cusco and Juliaca. Anyone looking for a base to go visit Rainbow Mountain on their own, I cannot recommend any hotel in Peru more highly if for no other reason than how pleasant and kind our hosts were. A sweet and safe little sanctuary within walking distance of the ruins of Raqchi. But the best part is the wonderful family that runs the spot— Fanny speaks multiple languages and can help with travel planning and logistics, and her parents at the hotel are absolute gems. They let me park my motorcycle inside the courtyard. One of the best experiences I had in Peru.
